Shanali Islam

Shanali Islam is a Computer Science student at Arizona State University with a deep commitment to community-centered innovation. Outside of academics and professional pursuits, she finds creative fulfillment through dance, music, and meaningful conversations—often drawing inspiration from these experiences to develop passion projects in coding and design.

As part of the Women’s Power and Influence Index team at The Difference Engine, she brings a unique blend of technical skill and human-centered thinking to the project. With a focus on front-end development and UX/UI design, her goal is to build inclusive digital experiences that reflect the diverse communities she engages with. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in web or app development, where she can continue using creativity and code as tools for social impact and representation.
