Rachel Cellinese

Rachel Cellinese (she/they) is a creative director and consultant, working at the intersection of design, climate communication, and environmental justice in Los Angeles. Her decades of experience creating high-impact campaigns for entertainment studios guide her work as a catalyst across a variety of industries and genres. Rachel now redirects those narrative strategies, transforming complex concepts into visual communication and brand identity for a diverse network of artists, agencies, and grassroots organizations. She is also an advisor for LA Climate Week, a mentor for LACI’s Middle School Girls in STEM program, and a botanical volunteer at Huntington Gardens.Her multidisciplinary practice extends directly into land stewardship, ecological remediation, fine art fabrication, and designing opportunities for learning. During the most recent PST ART: Art & Science Collide, she contributed art direction for a project that used the power of art and community science to address industrial lead contamination in East LA backyards.As the co-lead of the Climate Designers LA Chapter since 2020, they have built an ecosystem that connects creatives from all backgrounds with climate resources, professional development, and advocacy initiatives. They collaborate on programming and producing events– from casual meetups, panel discussions, and nature walks, to day-long art festivals and interactive workshops designed to close the imagination gap and inspire collective, innovative, localized resilience.
