Esete Amare is currently a fourth year student pursuing a degree in Justice Studies, English Literature and a certificate in Human Rights. Esete joins us from Barrett the Honors College where she is currently working on her Honors thesis with the Women’s Power Index. After completing her undergraduate studies Esete plans on pursuing a law degree in order to advocate for the accessibility of justice as it relates to intersectionality. As a first generation Ethiopian-American, Esete is passionate about promoting gender equity in Sub-Saharan Africa. Outside of her rigorous studies and numerous extracurricular involvements, Esete enjoys exploring culture through food, music and fashion.
