Netflix Ranked as a Pacesetter on the Women’s Power and Influence Index

Friday, November 3, 2023 - 14:07

Today, we announce the newest rankings from the Women’s Power and Influence Index. The global streaming company Netflix has been ranked as a “PACESETTER” in gender equity in the workplace. To come to this ranking, our researchers examined Netflix’s EEO data and public reports. As a “PACESETTER,” Netflix has health benefits for its women employees, parental leave, and community programs dedicated to inclusion.

Here are some of the key highlights from our research:
- Healthcare Benefits: Netflix provides its employees with support during fertility, surrogacy, and adoption.
- Caregiver Paid Time Off: Netflix employees generally have 4-8 months of parental leave.
- Community Engagement: With its Fund for Creative Equity, Netflix routinely donates money to support and build female talent in the film industry.
While Netflix has some truly great programs, it can do more for its female employees. It can implement a transparent harassment policy, harassment and discrimination training, and mentorship programs for women within Netflix.
