Accenture Ranked as a Pacesetter on the Women's Power and Influence Index

The Difference Engine is excited to announce the newest ranking for the Women’s Power and Influence Index. Today, we share that Accenture, a communications technology company, receives the “PACESETTER” ranking on the Index. 

For this ranking, our researchers have conducted rigorous research by combining EEOC data and Accenture’s public reports. By earning the ranking Pacesetter, Accenture recognizes the importance of pay equity and childcare for its employees, but does not show evidence of programs dedicated to harassment training and women’s mentorship. 

Here are some key highlights from our research: 
- Pay Equity: Through its annual reviews of employee compensation, Accenture has achieved 100% pay parity as of November 2021. 
- Childcare Benefits: Accenture provides subsidized back-up childcare for its employees, and Accenture allows 16 weeks of paid maternity leave. 
- Community Engagement: Through the program Empower@Work, Accenture sponsors programs dedicated to collective action for gender equity. 

While these are some great achievements, Accenture has room for improvement in these areas: 
- Harassment and Discrimination Training: While Accenture has a policy in place prohibiting harassment in the workplace, Accenture does not provide its employees with formal harassment and discrimination training. 
- Women’s Mentorship and Professional Development: Our researchers could not find evidence of specific mentorship and development programs for women in the US.
